Reina Sasaki

Reina is a reporter at Bloomberg News with a dynamic background, worked and lived in five countries. A graduate of University of California, Berkeley, Reina has worked in the field of journalism, tech policy and international security and governance in Washington D.C., Singapore, Shanghai and Manila, before moving back to Japan, where she grew up.

Reina's career includes reporting on trade negotiations, monetary and fiscal policies and presidential election during the Trump administration in Washington D.C., working with law enforcement on criminal investigations to counter terrorism, mis/disinformation and organized crime taken place in Indo Pacific, Europe and US, as well as providing lobbying strategy and passing legislation for sexual assault survivors in US. She currently overseas earnings news coverage execution in Japan and South Korea for Bloomberg News, where she works with engineers to drive the next generation of journalism. She writes extensively on companies in Asia (Greater China, India, Oceania, as well as Japan and Korea) and also appears on Bloomberg TV.
